You have hardly heard about adding a Youtube video to a PowerPoint slide. Youtube videos are widely used all over the world by the people. Daily millions of videos are uploads into the Youtube server. We need more storage for normal videos. When we use Youtube videos, our presentations have no bulks. But make sure the place where you are going to make presentation has internet accessibility.
Here are the steps how to do this.

1.       Set the layout of your slide blank.
2.       Now you need to go Developer Tab. Normally this tab is unavailable to user. In order to enable the tab, click on the Office button and then PowerPoint Option.

3.       In the PowerPoint Option dialog box, at the popular category, check the box before Show Developer tab in the Ribbon. Then click OK.

4.       Now click the Developer tab on the ribbon. Click the More Control button in the Controls group.

5.       More Controls dialog box appears. Here choose Shockwave flash object and click OK. In order to choose the Shockwave flash object command you need to scroll it.

6.       Now your mouse pointer turns + mark to draw an object. With this tool draw a box on the slide which covers the size of your video.

7.       Right mouse click on the object and choose the Properties from the fly menu. Properties control box appears. At the Movie attribute, place your URL coding for the Youtube video.

8.       Now you need to do small changes in the coding as mentioned below.

Remove the watch? from the coding and change the = sign just after v as /

Before: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MbXzI-IAdSc
After: http://www.youtube.com/ v/MbXzI-IAdSc

Then close the Properties box.

9.       Press F5 key for slideshow.

10.   Now you are ready to watch the movie on your presentation. Good luck!
