How to download a facebook photo by one click

Recently I found the best way to download a Facebook photo while viewing news feeds on Facebook. It is a very simple and quick method to download a photo with its original size. Just one click, the photo is downloaded instantly. In usual way, we have to do this with 2 or 3 clicks.

Now let me explain how to do it. All you had to do is to add a simple extension called Photo Download for Facebook with your chrome browser. Follow the link and click "Add to Chrome" button at the top right of page. Now you can see a download button on each photo while hovering it. It works on timeline photos, album photos and your friends’ profile photos. Unfortunately, this extension is not available for Firefox.

The developers promise that its upcoming version will have the facility to download many pictures by one click and also to support with many languages.

Don’t forget that too many extensions attached to chrome browser can cause a delay and slowness of the browser.

How to use Google web fonts in a website or a blog?

Till I found Google web fonts, I believed that serif fonts are not suitable for web designing because sans-serif like Arial and Verdana have more readability than serif fonts. With the arrival of Google web fonts, there is a tremendous change in creating web pages. Most of the professional bloggers have started to use Google fonts.

Web designers and bloggers should pay much attention on fonts while designing their web pages. You can’t attract the readers unless you use right fonts in right size. Fonts gives neatness to your pages. In my opinion, Google fonts are prettier than our usual fonts.

In this post let me explain how to use Google web fonts in our websites or blogs.

Why do we need to choose Google fonts?

Most of my friends ask me why we go for Google web fonts. The answer is simple. Google has many stylish fonts to use in web and moreover they are free of charge. While I am writing this article, Google has introduced more than 600 web fonts in its showcase. All you have to do is to add a few snippets of HTML code to your page.

How to get Google fonts?

Simply type 'fonts' after google.com/, www.google.com/fonts, it will take you to the showcase.

Google offers you many options to choose fonts. The right panels help to filter what sort of fonts you need. All the fonts in the showcase were divided into four major categories: Serif, Sans serif, display and handwriting. Another 3 options assist you to find fonts when adjusting the handles of three attributes Thickness, Slant and Width.
You can also preview the fonts as words, sentence, paragraph or poster before choosing it.

After choosing your font, click the Quick-use button to get the code.

Scroll down until you find “Add this code to your website”. Google offers you three options to use the code in your website such as Standard, @Import and Javascript. I think it is the best way to go for standard option which is widely use by designers.

<link href='http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Lora' rel='stylesheet' type='text/css'>

After crabbing the code, open your page in design mode (in blogger Template > Edit HTML) place the code after title tag <title></title> probably it should be above the <b:skin> tag.

Now time for integrate the fonts into CSS. For example if you want to use it for paragraphs, the CSS code would be:

P { font-family:'Lora',serif;}

Now check your page with your browser and enjoy!

Have you ever thought how much of calories in an apple you eat? Most of us do not pay attention on calories of what we eat. However we like to know about nutrition information of the food items. Google makes the things easier for you. With this new move, you will be able to easily find the extensive nutrition information for more than 1000 food items including fruits, vegetables, meats, grains, beverages and so on.

If you are a calorie conscious person and would like to know the nutrition information on what you eat, simply type in Google search box like “apple calories” or “How much calories in a boiled egg?” or “How much protein in chicken?” It will quickly show the results with a calorie counter and nutrition chart under an expansion. Generally calorie detail for every 100g of the food item is shown

Google says that this feature begins with only in English and will be available in other languages in future. Moreover Google has planned to add more food items with more features.

From my mobile, I could find the fact that chocolate, cheese and maize are very rich in calorie.

Optimized version of Viber released.

Viber is now mostly used all over the world because of its handy features. The main reason of its success is it uses the telephone number of a person as its ID while other VOIP services use separate user ID to log in. As a result the users can easily recognize their Viber IDs. Further it automatically identifies the phone contact users who already joint Viber. It reduces most part of the work such as finding, adding and configuring user settings however sometimes it slightly affects our privacy.
An optimized version of Viber has been released.
Viber has added new features with the latest version. Here I am going to list some features which were being expected by its users since it was introduced. This article was written based on an Android phone.

Online status:
Earlier Viber hadn’t got this facility which made the user quite confusion whether he is online or not. At the earlier version, when you called to a person, it would ring even though he was not online. Now it shows whether he is available or not. Hence we can make a call without any confusion. Further it also says that at what he came to online even though he is now not online.

Easy to navigate:
New version came with easy navigation. We can easily navigate the software with the 3 tabs of messages, contacts and call log.

Unique cool logo and icon:
Viber has changed his logo and icons. It looks prettier than previous one and also has uniqueness. I hope after the introduction of new logo, phone users love to put it on their home screen of the phone.

Viber connectivity icon:
The latest version also facilitates the user to find that whether his Viber service is connected or disconnected. When your Viber is not connected, a small icon turns to dull color. Otherwise it always lies with its purple color.

Large avatar:
When I used the earlier version, I could not recognize some friend’s profile pictures which were too small. Now it allows putting larger avatar of the user.

Viber rocks in VOIP

Viber is a new arrival in VOIP service. It is a proprietary cross-platform instant messaging  Voice-Over-Internet Protocol application for smartphones developed by Viber Media. In addition to text messaging, users can exchange images, video and audio media messages. The client software is available for Windows, Mac OS, Android, BlackBerry OS, iOS, Series 40, Symbian, Bada, Windows Phone, Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows. Viber works on both 3G and WiFi networks.

Viber reached 200 million users as of May 7, 2013.

History
Viber was initially launched for iPhone on Dec 2 2010, in direct competition with Skype. A pre-release version for Android appeared in May 2011 but was restricted to 50,000 users; an unrestricted version was released on July 19, 2012. Viber for BlackBerry and Windows Phone devices were launched on May 8, 2012. On reaching 90 million users on July 24, 2012, group messaging service and HD Voice engine were added to both Android and iPhone applications.
Applications for Nokia's Series 40, Symbian and Samsung's Bada platform were also announced on the same day. Initially, the voice calling feature was only available for iPhone and Android applications, with a promise that voice would be added in upcoming versions for Bada, Symbian and Windows Phone applications, with no mention of either Series 40 or Blackberry OS.
The limitation seems to lie in core of Blackberry OS and Series 40 which does not have easy support for VoIP apps. As promised, on Sept. 22 2012 HD quality phone calls and hold group-messaging sessions were made available for Windows phone but only for Nokia users, as part of exclusive partnership with Nokia. Viber with voice was officially released for all Windows Phone 8 devices on April 2, 2013.

Features & Functionality
The actual functionality varies from platform to platform with iOS and Android being the first to receive new features. Viber includes text, picture and video messaging across all platforms, with voice calling available only to iPhone, Android and Nokia's Windows Phone although HD voice is planned for Windows Phone 8.
The application's user interface includes tab bar on the bottom giving access to messages, recent calls, contact, the keypad and a button for accessing more options. Upon installation, it creates a user account using one's phone number as username.
Viber synchronizes with the phone's address book, so users do not need to add contacts in a separate book. Since all users are registered with their phone number, the software returns all Viber users among one's contacts. The newest version of Viber (Version 2.3) has added smileys and other default images.

Languages and localization
Viber is currently available in 30 languages and locales: English, Arabic, Albanian, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, French, Farsi, German, Italian, Spanish, Russian, Hebrew and Portuguese.

Company
Viber Media is a Cyprus-based company with development centers in Belarus and Israel. The company was founded by American-Israeli entrepreneur Talmon Marco.
The company currently does not generate revenues, but announced it would start generating revenues in 2013 via a "sticker store". The company is funded by individual investors. As of May 2013, $20M was invested in the company.
